Sven Winter |Ski Cross

sven winter

Sven is determined to be Olympic Ski Cross champion at home in 2010. He is currently competing in Australia and New Zealand as the first few steps to qualify for Olympics.

Sven chose Lifemoves' Kinesiologists and Facial Stretch Therapy to give him a competitive edge. Flexibility prevents injuries, helps him recover faster from intense training sessions and helps him become more responsive to his competitors and snow-conditions. He is also the first Canadian, internationally ranked athlete to use the stretchbands (only available in Canada through Lifemoves). Read more and help Send Sven to 2010.

September 2009 Sven is now ranked 10th in the World in his age group. With less than 100 days to the Olympics Sven continues to train "hard." He next step in qualifications is  a competition in Germany in December. We enjoy working with Sven because he is always willing to help others pursue their dreams.

Margaret Benson | Race Walking, Running and Dragonboating

Margaret BensonMargaret is a double lung transplant recipient and has been training with Alfred Ball, Kinesiologist since November 2005. We chose to sponsor her because she demonstrates tenacity, determination, perseverance and inspiration generosity.  She is very thankful the opportunities she has had during her life-time; she regularly gives back to the community.

She will be competing for Canada in the World Transplant Games on the Gold Coast of Australia in August 2009. She will attempt to break the world record in age group for the 3Km Race walk. Other events she will competing in are the 3Km run, 1500 m run, 800 m run, 200m run and 4 x 100m run with other Canadian athletes.

Margaret Benson with her medals and Kinesiologist Alfred BallSeptember 2009 Margaret returned from the World Transplant Games with several successes. She one five medals and broke two world records. She came home with a Personal Best in the 3 km Run, 15:53min. Her competitor, from the USA, in the 3 km run, 1500m and 800m was a marathon runner before her heart transplant and was "fast." She was awarded the silver medal in those three events.

Margaret broke the world records in 3 km race walk and the 200m. Even with five medals, the highlight of the games for her was when she continued to show her generosity and gratitude when she found out during the medal ceremony for the 800m that a donor family was presenting the medals. He was was overwhelmed and surprised when she placed the medal round his neck and brought him up on to the podium. Congratulations Margaret. Keep inspiring us.
