What Areas of Kinesiology Does Alfred Specialize In?
Alfred started his career as a personal trainer at a multi-location gym in 2000. Over the next seven years, he developed his niche as a rehabilitation personal trainer while continuing to present himself as a kinesiologist. He has worked with clients who have very diverse disabilities, injuries and chronic illnesses.
Clinical Pilates became a foundation of his exercise therapy programs in 2004. In 2007, Alfred began his Fascia Stretch Therapy journey by earning the Level 1 Stretch to Win FST certificate. This was quickly followed by Level 2 and then Level 3 several years later, in 2025.
Alfred is a Practicing Kinesiologist, exceptionally talented at understanding body mechanics and rehabilitation, whether problems are chronic, injury-related, or simply a wish to improve physical performance. I have sought him out many times to assist with resolving different body issues over the past 30-something years. He is exceptional at his craft. I cannot say enough good: go learn for yourself! He gets 5-stars, plus, plus from me!

Why Does Alfred Specialize in Fitness and Rehab Programs for Burnaby Residents with Different Sensory and Processing Needs?
In the fall of 2024, his practice shifted to better understanding the health care needs of autistic people and those with ADHD and AuADH because he noticed that there was a gap in available locations and services for them.
Allied health clinics, large commercial gyms, and independent personal training studios were not designed to make people with sensory or processing differences feel safe. Instead, many of his clients told him they felt overwhelmed and overstimulated.
It was also at this time that he was diagnosed with ADHD. Alfred's lived experiences started to make sense. In early spring 2025, he decided it was time to change how health and fitness were delivered in Burnaby. He leased the space above the car wash and across from Kensington Park on Hastings St and rebranded it as Lifemoves Human Performance.
