Biography
Alfred has enjoyed creating and growing Lifemoves® Health and Rehabilitation since 2007. He been a Practicing Kinesiologist for over 10 years. Alfred has spoken at several conferences and tradeshows. He is a published author, most recently in the July/Aug 2011 issue of Impact Magazine.
Alfred and Lifemoves® have been recognized twice by the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. He was finalist for the 2009 Business Excellence Young Entrepreneur Award is nominated in 2010.
He has helped over 1,000 clients improve their quality of life, health and independence with the appropriate physical activity and lifestyle choices.
As a human movement specialist, Alfred's strengths are working with clients with chronic health conditions and musculoskeletal injuries.
He searches for the most current research and best practice methods related to health, rehabilitation, lifestyle and fitness by attending over 20 hours of continuing education per year. He is one of the first four Practicing Kinesiologists in British Columbia to be certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy™ and one of a few Kinesiologists to complete the Diploma in Rehabilitation Management from Simon Fraser University in 2008.
Most recently Alfred learned some hands on soft-tissue techniques to restore mobility and reduce myofascial pain. In 2010 he completed Level II Fascial Stretch Therapy at Stretch To Win.
Alfred has given back to his profession by being on the Board of Directors for the B.C. Association of Kinesiologists 2006 - 2008. He continues to mentor other Kinesiologists and Personal Trainers and speak at conferences, wellness shows and workshops such as Can-Fit Pro Whistler 2009. He also enjoys writing for the three blogs he created for Lifemoves.

Athletic Pursuits
Alfred enjoys the mental and physical challenge endurance events. He has completed one marathon and competed for BC in Biathlon.
You can find him on Grouse Grind in the summer and cross country and snowshoeing in the winter. Alfred set a new Personal Record near the last day of the season of 38:04 min in 2010. He continues to improve his own fitness by taking of 22 minutes from his Seek the Peak 2010 (16km, 4100ft from Ambleside Park in West Vancouver to the Peak of Grouse Mountain) time of 2:24:40 by finishing in just over 2:02 hrs in 2011. He continues to train as his goal is to catch the elite Grouse Grinders as well as well as be the fittest he has been in his life. Alfred is exploring the Olympic lifts and how they can be applied to all populations.
In the winter you will find him on the snowshoe trails or cross country skiing.
Alfred was a member of the BC Biathlon Team from 1994 – 1999. He still enjoys cross-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing and running. He unwinds and releases stress by being physically active, using far infrared sauna and participating in Yoga, writing and reading.
